As a therapist, I believe in mind-body connection and incorporate my specialized training in mindfulness, yoga, and meditation in my sessions.
I help my clients to recognize how their thought process is connected to their emotions, feelings, and behaviors and, in turn, to their problem cycle that keeps them "stuck" in their difficulties. Also, I help clients to become aware of their coping strategies that have become a problem and does not allow them to move forward.
I help clients to develop coping skills that generate change, to focus on the present, and learn to cope with difficulties one small step and moment at a time.
As a certified yoga instructor, I find that there are many benefits from the wisdom of Eastern healing philosophy and practices, including mindfulness, relaxation, deep breathing, visualization, meditation, and self hypnosis, from which people in our stressful world can benefit. I believe that a relaxed mind and body and greater awareness can improve people's quality of life. I see therapy for my clients as a journey that helps them to learn about themselves on a deeper level.
I accept the following insurances: Aetna, AvMed, Blues Cross, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, MHNet Behavioral Health, New Directions, Optum, and United Healthcare. In addition, I offer Sliding Fee Scale
I see therapy as a journey. Are you ready to begin your therapy journey and be on your path to a healthier you? Get in touch today to get started!
