Dr. Libansky obtained her doctorate degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She wrote her dissertation on adoption and has provided therapeutic services to birth parents, adoptive parents, and adopted children. Dr. Libansky has also provided in home crisis intervention and family therapy to families and foster families where children were in imminent danger of being placed outside the home because of abuse, neglect, mental health issues, or substance abuse issues.
Dr. Libansky has a specialization in Medical Family Therapy and has worked with physicians, helping patients and their families to cope with illnesses, medical issues, grief issues, mental health issues, and substance abuse issues. In addition, Dr. Libansky has worked in mental health facilities hospitals with patients who have mental health issues and/or substance abuse issues.
As a certified addiction counselor, Dr. Libansky has also helped numerous clients and their families with their substance abuse problems and codependency issues. Also, Dr. Libansky has experience in maternal addiction and has provided therapy and pregnancy yoga classes to pregnant woman who have substance abuse problems in hospital and private settings.
As a certified yoga instructor and trained in hypnosis, Dr. Libansky has provided group and individual yoga classes. She has also utilized Eastern and yoga philosophy practices, including mindfulness, breathing exercises, relaxation, visualization, meditation, yoga asanas (poses), and self hypnosis and hypnosis.
